Does color conversion contact a server?
No. Numeric conversion uses page JavaScript, and image palette sampling uses browser Canvas.
Is the source image stored?
No. The image is sampled in an in-memory Canvas; it is not uploaded or retained.
Is CMYK suitable for print proofing?
This is an on-screen approximation. Professional print work still needs the printer profile and proofing workflow.
